Black and White and RED . . .

. . .and texture and brads, and eyelets, OH MY!! Yes, I am playing with new toys and old ones today. The challenge for Day 136 on the 365 card blog was to use Black, white and red on your card - no other colors - which is fine. It is always the image that often presents the problem - however, when I looked through my NEW - as in delivered TODAY - CB folders, I decided to use this image to create texture. Then I used a piece of bazzill basics swiss dots for the matting on my sentiment. I picked out the ribbon from my drawer of ribbon and got out some silk flowers and added the flower eyelets (red) and the black (heart) brad to the centers. Of course it was AFTERWARDS that I decided I wanted to add the stamping with my red and black staz-on pads - but it worked. So much going on and I LOVE the results. Not sure if I will keep this one and give it to my sweet dh, or pass it on to those soldiers in the field that need to tell someone at home they are loved.
Thanks for visiting the spa today - it has been a productive one - and I am not even finished - working on a BIG project that I am hoping to have done for my Scrapbook club meeting tonight!!
