Let's Go Shopping!

At least I think that is what my sweet Sugar Nellie is trying to say! Sugar Nellie's were my 'First Love' in coloring images - before I discovered the Magnolia's. And I play with my Sugar Nellies at LEAST once a week while participating in the weekly challenges over at All Things Sugar Nellie on Paper Craft Planet. You really should come and join us! Each week one member is chosen to receive THREE Sugar Nellie's of their choice!
So, on to my card - I have colored my Sugar Nellie in many different ways - but never in this 'traditional' way - so when the challenge came up to do traditional Christmas colors of red and green - I new just who I was going to use! I wanted to try using my new red flowers that I got recently from Wild Orchid Craft, but they just didn't seem to work on this card with all the layers.I decided to use an old Splitcoast Stampers sketch that I had printed out and saved in one of my notebooks. It was late and I wanted to practice layering as the Sugar Bowl sketch is quite a layered affair this time around. The Sugar Bowl is another Sugar Nellie challenge blog that I enjoy joining in on every other week. I will be working on that sketch with an Autumn theme. The sketch isn't the daunting part - it is looking through my stash to see if I have any autumn themed papers - I am sure that I do, but they might already be packed away!

Anyway, I appreciate you stopping by the spa this morning - stick around - or come back later and see what other projects I might get to work on today - amongst the boxes and packing!
