Happy New Year my friends.
What does this year hold for you? I know you can't really answer that question right now - but what are your PLANS for the New Year? Do you have any? 'Plans' is such a better word than resolutions - do you not agree? Here is what I have found for the definitions of these two words:

Resolution: the firm decision to do something
Plan: The process of setting goals, developing strategies, and outlining tasks and schedules to accomplish the goals.

So, in looking at the definitions - Plan is a much better word is really what we do anyway. We might make a firm decision to do something - but without the plan, it won't happen.

So, with all that defining stuff done - I am going to set about to make plans to:

1. make more cards this year to send to OWH (Operation Write Home)- of course it has been months since I have even doing anything - so this might take a bit of time to actually begin. Sometimes the start of something is harder than the actual project itself!

2. lose more weight than I gain. Now that is an interesting way to put it, right? But honestly - this is a 'resolution' that people make at the beginning of every year, and at the end of the year, the weight is still there - so, I plan to NOT gain, and hopefully lose.

3. do something everyday - besides play games on Facebook!! It might be taking a walk on the beach, making something at my craft table or sewing something. It might be talking to someone about RevvNRG - just SOMETHING to keep me moving and motivated.

4. smile! Everyday as often as I can and laugh whenever possible!

Have a wonderful day - and 'plan' those goals that you want to accomplish THIS year!!

Hi Paula:)

I know I'm a bit behind on my visits to your blog, but wanted to comment on your great post! I agree that "plan" is the operative word in setting those goals into action. I hope your year is starting out great!
