Sponging is such a fun technique. If you haven't tried this technique, or haven't for awhile - you really ought to! Today is Day 149 on the 365 card blog and that is the challenge for the day - to use sponging. Well, I first chose my image - a nice beach-y kind of scene and then I decided I wanted to give the impression of an approaching storm - so I made my own cloud template and then sponged around it. I haven't done this for quite some time, but I wanted to do something different for a change. I sponged the 'clouds' with baja breeze and a bit of going grey ink - and then threw in a bit of summer sun. After layering my image onto my card base, I decided to carry the clouds a little further. I still felt like it needed a bit of bling, so I added the rhinestones.
Thanks for taking a peek at my creation - now I am off to work on my digital scrapbook pages for the 92 days of summer contest - if you haven't checked it out - click on the icon and come join us.
Have a wonderfully relaxing day and thanks for visiting the spa today.
