Homophones - What's that??

Homophones? Have you ever heard this term? Well, even if you don't recall the word, you have used homophones - an 'I' for an 'eye, 'bearly' there (for barely) - they are often a fun way to use words in extraordinary ways. Well, with that said, the challenge on Day 150 of the 365 card blog was to use a homophone in our sentiment on our card. Well, I didn't want to go with the usual 'I love Ewe' - as I knew that would be used by some, so I thought about this - for a couple of days and finally came up with my version. I do think it is somewhat corny - however, in looking through my stamps - yes, I used my STAMP collection for inspiration this time, I came across this pear that I have loved for a very long time - and just knew what I wanted to do. Once it was settled, the card came together rather quickly. I used a mixture of green galore and summer sun for the pears layering on pumpkin pie and summer sun CS (all from SU) I added the grosgrain ribbon (from my stash) and the buttons are from Basic Grey's marrakech line. I also thought I was somewhat clever to underline the sentiment using a scrap cut off from the pumpkin pie. The font is one I got from Dafont.com and I printed it off on the printer.
Thanks for stopping in - I should have more for you to take a peek at shortly.
